RobinWood Logistics Ltd ("we", "us") is a delivery and logistics company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 13870616), operating from Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website, robinwoodlogistics.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to give us through the quote / contact form:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- details of the job you are enquiring about - collection and delivery postcodes, dates, vehicle and load size, expected charge, and anything you add in the notes field.
When you submit the form we also record your IP address and browser type alongside the request. We use these solely to protect the form from spam and abuse.
Browsing the site does not require an account and does not collect personal information. Our hosting provider processes visitors' IP addresses transiently as part of serving the site securely, as any web host does.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare your quote. This is processing needed to take steps at your request before entering a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To keep a record of enquiries and protect the site from abuse. This is processing in our legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use your information for marketing and we never sell it.
Where your information goes
Form submissions are stored securely with Cloudflare, the company that hosts this website, and a copy is emailed to our company mailbox so we can reply. That email is delivered through Resend, an email delivery service, and received in our Google Workspace mailbox. These providers process your information only on our instructions. Where any of them processes data outside the UK, the transfer is covered by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
Beyond those service providers, we do not share your information with anyone unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and to keep reasonable business records of the work we have quoted for or carried out. If you would like a request deleted sooner, contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- receive the information you gave us in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, call us on 01430 337407 or send us a message through the contact form. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).
Changes to this policy
If how we handle personal information changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
